Not every creepy tale has to be from the century’s ago. This Reddit-born story puts a modern twist on the classic scary campfire stories we know so well (you’ll see when you read it).

We then saw two more lights and four people walked out wearing colonial clothes. At that point, we just threw everything in the truck, picked up our now growling dog, and blasted out of there. I looked at him puzzled and my friend later explained to me that he’s a medium, I’m not much of a believer but now things have changed. They were getting shocked every time they touched their line. Next, their hair started standing on end… David said they couldn’t get out fast enough.
Despite some recognizable names in the supporting cast such as Dean Norris , Gil Bellows , and Lorraine Toussaint , the main cast is mostly filled with unknowns. Some reviews claim that the acting isn’t up to par, but I was pleasantly surprised. Austin Zajur can be annoying as the mischievous Chuck, but he was also rather humorous the majority of the time. Zoe Colletti goes a little overboard when she cries, but she’s also solid when she gushes over horror. Austin Abrams is seriously nasty as Tommy.
The series is animated in such a way as to mimic a traditional Japanese method of storytelling known as Kamishibai. A spin-off titled Ninja Collection aired on July 12, 2020. And Theater of Darkness is an ongoing Japanese anime series.
