Spooky Fishing Stories
This massive fish native to the Congo River can weigh 70 kgs and proudly sports its 32 oversized teeth. Man-eater if we are to believe the legend, it is better not to try to venture into the mighty rivers that it inhabits… Who put granny’s dentures in this fish? Many stories accompany this strange creature from South America and now found in many continents. A specimen was even captured in the Seine in Paris in 2013, probably released by an aquarist who had too many nightmares.
I decided to make a brew, and as I flicked on the lighter the sparks silhouetted the face of a helmeted German soldier peering into my bivy from the darkness outside. The next story will never leave me for a day. It literally changed my life, and everything I believe.
Nothing but a cold reminder of all that had put us through this mess. I kicked off away from the fray, resurfacing some ten feet off, my wrist burning with agony. Delta and the two dogs had been reduced to a watery frenzy of limbs, blood, barks, and screams.

There were also no apparent signs of struggle or damage above or below deck. The mystery remains unsolved; the only information the authorities received was from a single crew member they had managed to track down and take into custody. He claimed that the crew of High Aim 6 had mutinied, but no reason was given as to why.
Some seriously creepy, unexplainable stuff has happened out there on the ocean open – and a few times there have been people lucky (or unlucky?) enough to have witnessed it. First let me tell you a few things about me. I am a Man of God although when this story took place I wasn’t a Christian. I have also spent twenty four years in the outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping, and hiking. I am twenty eight so that’s a lot of time in the wilderness. I’m the guy everyone says that when the zombies come it’s my house they are going too.
I was mid-stream as the third horn made its call. At that point, I had to tighten my belt and swim across deeper pool created by swiftly flowing 45 degree water. Yea, Falls cool and all but Halloween is the best. My grandkids have already picked out their costumes and are ready to trick-or-treating.
I like to think we saved his life, but who knows. Being in Miami we are close to Communist Cuba. And from time to time you’ll see Cuban rafts, makeshift boats people have made to cross over from Cuba to Florida. It’s not an uncommon occurrence, it happens here and there. However, it gets creepy when you start to see the ones that are unmarked.
The doll perched on Aria’s desk seemed to Esther to smirk at their naivety. When, finally, Aria slept, Esther stayed a moment longer in her crouched position beside the bed. She listened to the light breathing as it slowed to a deeper sleep before standing and bending to kiss her sister lightly on the forehead. She made her way out of the little pink room, its nightlight a white gold star in the far corner.
